Mr. Marlin Rhodes, age 71, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 in his home after an extended illness. He was a native of Millen and spent most of his life in Vidalia. He was the former branch manager of the Farm Credit Service and owner of Marlin Rhodes Reality. He loved to spend time with his family, do wood work, and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Edith Rhodes and one brother, Paul Rhodes.
Mr. Rhodes is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Janice Rhodes; one daughter, Heather Rhodes Moore and husband Matt all of Vidalia; one sister, Ethel Daughtry of Waynesboro; one brother, Travis Rhodes of Perkins; and three grandchildren, Shane, Autumn, and Easton.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 13th at 3:00 p.m. the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Thompson and Reverend Murray Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral on Friday evening from 7:00 until 8:30.
