Vidalia,

Mrs. Madine K. Haelig, age 87, of Vidalia died Thursday, August 11, 2016. She was a native of Vidalia and lived most of her life in New Jersey before returning to Vidalia in 2003. She was a homemaker, member of North Thompson Baptist Church, and a lifetime member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Haelig; son, Walter Allen Milam; parents, Flora Bell and Frank King; and sister, Betty Jean Odom.

Mrs. Haelig is survived by four sons, John Milam and wife Una of Crockett, Texas, Donald Milam of Vidalia, Dave Milam and wife Janice of Moore, Oklahoma, and Frank Milam of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Patricia Andrews and husband John of Milford, New Jersey; one daughter-in-law, Cyndi Milam of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three brothers, Larson King and wife Johnnie Mae, William King and wife Jeannine, and Hershel King and wife Emma Jean all of Vidalia; two sisters, Loretta Palmer of Vidalia and Joanne Mosley of Hampton; eleven grandchildren, Georgette, Michelle, Kelly, Brian, Eddie, Mark, John Jr., Ryan, David Jr., Owen, and Scott; and several great grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held Monday, August 15th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Phillips and Reverend Glenn Waters officiating. Burial will follow in the North Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
