Lyons,

Mrs. Lynette Howard, age 72, of Lyons died Friday, August 21, 2015 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, retired from Savannah Luggage as a purchase manager after more than twenty years of service, and was a member of The Oaks Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends and walking her dog, Walker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Howard; and her parents, Troy and Christine Odom.

Mrs. Howard is survived by her two sons, Rusty Howard and wife Rita of Lyons, and Matt Howard of South Bend, Indiana; two sisters, Carolyn Wilson and husband Ronald of Lyons, and Shelby Kea and husband Rooney of Cedar Crossing; two granddaughters, Rustin Howard and Lyons and Sarah Howard of South Bend, Indiana; and several nieces and a nephew.

The funeral service will be held Monday, August 24th at 3:00 pm in The Oaks Baptist Church with Reverend Josh Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in South Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday night from 6:00 until 8:00.
