Mrs. Linda Barrow “Gammy” Colson, age 65, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in Georgia Regents Medical Center in Augusta, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Tattnall County, and moved to Toombs County in the early 1960’s.  She was a 1967 graduate of Lyons High School, was a homemaker, and was Baptist by faith.  She enjoyed the outdoors, working in her yard, and especially with her flowers.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Warnell and Evelyn Conner Barrow.

Linda is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Robert L. Colson; one son, Brian Colson and wife Heather, all of Vidalia; three sisters, Sherry Bryson of Vidalia, Vera Deloach and husband Glenn of the Mendes Community, and Melba Powell and husband Jimmie of Vidalia; two grandsons, Brayden Colson and Landen Colson of Vidalia, and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, March 28th at 12:00 Noon in the Anderson Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Josh Hughes officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 until 11:00.
