Mr. Julius Edward “Jule” Thompson, Sr.,  age 77, of Vidalia, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.  He was a native of Vidalia and lived most of his life there. He was a1956 graduate of Vidalia High School, and attended Middle Georgia College in Cochran. He worked in sales for many years and at Georgia High Tech for several years.  He was Baptist by faith, and was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Ralph E. Thompson and an infant sister.

Mr. Thompson is survived by one son, Julius Edward “Eddie” Thompson, Jr. of Granbury, Texas; one daughter, Tonua Thompson Williams of Buford; one brother, Bob Thompson and wife Gloria of Shellman Bluff; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 25 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Trent Akins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
