Lyons,

Mrs. Judy Currie Frost Stanley, age 73, of the Marvin Community, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018, in the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, after a brief illness.  She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, was a graduate of Toombs Central High School, and attended Georgia Southern University.  She worked in admissions for Meadows Regional Medical Center, Piggy Wiggly Southern, Thomas and Betts, and Belk.  She was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church; she enjoyed painting and sketching, and was a pianist.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John Warren Currie and Addilie Hardie Currie, and two brothers.

Mrs. Stanley is survived by her husband, Gene Stanley; three children, Karen Lynette Frost Cowart and husband Anthony, all of the Marvin Community, Kimberly Lynn Frost Taylor of the Johnson Corner Community, and Kenton Currie Frost and wife Phillisa of Lyons; two step-children, Stacy Stanley and wife Alicia of Johnson Corner, and Stephanie Stanley of Swainsboro; six grandchildren, Amber Mosley and husband Michael of Toombs Central, Landon Cowart of Marvin, Justin Taylor and Jacob Taylor of Johnson Corner, K.D. Frost and Kara Frost of Lyons; five step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 7th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Kennedy officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 and will assemble at the residence of a daughter, Karen Cowart, 1782 Marvin Church Road, Lyons.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Marvin United Methodist Church, C/O Ben Newton, 4355 GA Hwy 147, Lyons GA 30436.
