Vidalia,

Miss Jeanette M. Braddy, age 90, of Vidalia, died Saturday, December 9, 2017, at her home, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Montgomery County, and lived in Vidalia most of her life.  She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Teachers College in Statesboro, and taught school at Toombs Central, Lyons and Vidalia.  She was a member of the Georgia Retired Teachers Association.  She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Lucille Walker Braddy; one sister, Emma Lee Braddy Hall; and six brothers, Ed Braddy, Cliff Braddy, H.T. Braddy, Hyman Braddy, her twin James Braddy, and Wyman Braddy; and a long-time friend, Pansy Maddox.

Miss Braddy is survived by two sisters, Audrey Braddy McCall of Kibbee and Lucille Braddy Watson of Mt. Vernon; one brother, Aubrey Braddy and wife Janet of Kibbee; three sisters-in-law, Louise Braddy, Juanita Braddy, both of Vidalia, and Joyce Braddy of Jacksonville, Florida; long-time friends, Fred and Sylvia Dennis of the English Eddy Community; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 12th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie McKenzie and Reverend Gene Helton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Braddy Cemetery in Kibbee.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00.
