Mr. Oliver Jackson “Jack” Pitts, Jr., age 64, of Bath Springs, Tennessee, died Sunday, February 7, 2016, at his home, after a brief illness.  He was a native of Vidalia, lived there most of his life, until moving to Bath Springs in 2015.  He was a 1969 graduate of Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, attended Southern Tech in Marietta, and was a U.S. Army veteran.  He was self-employed, was a Construction Committee Leader for Habitat for Humanity in Memphis, Tennessee, and was Methodist by faith.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Jackson Pitts, Sr. and Maxine Hutcheson Pitts.

Mr. Pitts is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Kenna A. Pitts of Bath Springs; three children, Jonathan Pitts and wife Penny of Uvalda, Molly Adams of Memphis, and Dora Kimberly Pitts of Lyons; one sister, DoRee Phillips and husband Van of Vidalia; and two grandchildren, Harley Stanfield and Hunter Milliron; one nephew, Allan Phillips and wife Minnie of Middleburg, Florida.

The graveside funeral service will be held Friday, February 12th at 3:00 p.m. in the Corinth Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
