Mr. Howard Corley, age 72, of Brunswick, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in the Candler Hospital in Savannah, after an extended illness. He was a native of Hazlehurst, moved to Brunswick in 1970, and lived there most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and was a military policeman. He was a trooper for the Georgia State Patrol for a few years, and was a meat cutter for twenty years with Winn Dixie in Brunswick. He was a member of the Christian Renewal Church in Brunswick. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoke and Frankie Connor Corley; and two sisters, Shirley Griffin and Doris Fowler.
Mr. Corley is survived by four children, Denise Corley Thompson, Chris Lee, Tracy Corley, and Stacy Corley and wife Rhonda of Kennesaw; three brothers, Bob Corley and wife Sue Alston, Johnny Corley and wife Louise of Uvalda, and Rickey Corley and wife Sara of Statesboro; one sister, Mary Corley Davis and husband Gene of Uvalda; seven grandchildren, Garrett, Kassidy, Helen, Dallon, Sara Beth, Jacob, and Abbey; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, 14th at 1:00 p.m. in the Uvalda City Cemetery with Reverend Bob Corley officiating.
