Lyons,

Mrs. Grace Edwards Padgett, age 67, of Lyons, died Sunday, May 1, 2016 in the Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, and was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Lyons.  She worked for Toombs Manufacturing for more than fifteen years as well as the Gingerbread House Nursery in Lyons for ten years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Manzy and Alice Reese Edwards; and one brother, Keith Edwards.

Mrs. Padgett is survived by her husband, Roy Padgett, Sr.; three children, Roy Padgett, Jr., Beverly Ann Padgett, and Robert Billy Padgett and Shannon, all of Lyons; three brothers, Joe Edwards and wife Jane of Alabama, Eugene Edwards and wife Liz of Reidsville, and Tim Edwards and wife Jackie of Normantown; one sister, Faye Palmer of Lyons; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 4th at 2:00 p.m. in Hardens Chapel Cemetery with Reverend Mike Poppell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
