Uvalda,

Mrs. Georgia Clark Cason, age 82, of Uvalda, died Sunday, June 26, 2016 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was born in Wheeler County, as a child moved to Montgomery County, and was a 1952 graduate of Ailey High School.  She retired after thirty-eight years from the Montgomery County High School as the Food Nutritionist Manager.  She was a member of the Charlotte United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school, played the piano, and was former Chairman of the administrative board.  She enjoyed cooking and gardening.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Daisy Clark; and four siblings, Margaret, Bill, Harry, and Nick.      

Mrs. Cason is survived by her husband of sixty three years, John Cason of Uvalda; two sons, Melvin Cason of Ailey, and Jerry Cason and wife Cathy of Uvalda; four grandchildren, Jeremy Cason and wife Shonda, Jordan Cason, all of Uvalda, Miles Cason and wife Wendi, and Mel Cason, all of Ailey; one great-grandson, Jett Cason; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 28th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Shareon Womack and Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Uvalda City Cemetery.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
