Mr. Gary Lee “Randy” Smith, age 51, of Vidalia, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky, lived in Hapeville and Riverdale most of his life and moved to Toombs County in 2004. He worked as a builder with his father’s company most of his life and in food services since he moved to Toombs County. He was Holiness by faith, and was preceded in death by an infant son, Jonathan Henry Smith; parents, John William and Margaret Terry Smith; and a brother, Calvin Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by several friends; including Angela Quarterman and her children, Maggie, Michaela, and Molly all of Vidalia; Regina Earles of Locust Grove; and cousins, Allie Jo Stamper Sebastian and Inise Hicks of Kentucky.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 8th at 11:00 am in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church of Lyons with Reverend Bill Vansant officiating.
