Uvalda,

Mrs. Gale Chambers, age 68, of Uvalda, died Monday, June 22, 2015 in Genesis Healthcare in Hazlehurst after an extended illness.  She was a native of Uvalda, grew up in Belle Glade, Florida, and returned to Montgomery County in 1965.  She was a homemaker, and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Mack Lynch and Bernice Moseley Lynch.

Mrs. Chambers is survived by her husband, Jessie Mack Chambers of Uvalda; four children, Sheila Denmark of Uvalda, Clint Chambers of Montgomery, Alabama, Clayton Chambers of Savannah, and Tiffany Chambers of Vidalia; one sister, Jeanie Traveller of Fredericksburg, Virginia; three brothers, John Scott and Jack Garrett of Washington, Georgia, and Timmy Garrett of Fredericksburg; one aunt, Eddie Lou Phillips of Soperton; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 24th at 11:00 a.m. in the Old Smyrna Cemetery with Elder Lew Tippett officiating. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning at the cemetery from 10:30 until just prior to the service.
