Lyons,

Mr. Francis M. Frost, Sr., age 80, of Lyons, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017, from injuries received while walking near his home.  He was a native of Candler County, worked in Atlanta for thirty-three years as a starter and alternator rebuilder, and moved to Toombs County in 1965.  He was a member of the Marietta Freewill Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his wife, Retcha Mae Duncan Frost; a son, F.M. Frost; a daughter, Carolyn Frost; and parents, Charlie M. Frost and Fannie Mae Williams Frost.

Mr. Frost is survived by three children, Ron Frost and fiancée Shelly Copeland of Lyons, Delaine Frost of Nevada, and Mary Dinger of Manhattan, Kansas; two sisters, Donna Lee Judy of Augusta and Julie Mae Sutton of Lyons; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 21st at 11:00 a.m. in the Marietta Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Irvin Murphy officiating.
