Lyons,
Mrs. Ethel Futch Wesberry, age 88, of Lyons, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at her daughter’s home in Effingham County, after an extended illness. She was a native of Tattnall County, and lived in Lyons most her life. She retired after thirty years from Lyons Manufacturing, and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Lyons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rabon Wesberry in 2014; an infant son, Johnny Ray Wesberry; her parents, Kenneth Slater Futch and Gertie Mae Groover Futch; two sisters, Lila Mae Rozier and Gladys Wilds Conley; and two brothers, Elvis Futch and Donnie Futch.
Mrs. Wesberry is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Wesberry Faircloth and husband Kenneth; one grandson, Jonathan Rabon Faircloth and fiancée Kelly Carter, all of Effingham County; one sister, Louise Coffey; one brother, Dwayne Futch and wife Dot; one sister-in-law, Ann Futch, all of Brunswick; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Plowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Lyons City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
