Mt. Vernon,

Mrs. Elizabeth “Libby” Thompson Bibb, age 82, of Mt. Vernon, died Saturday, November 11, 2017.  She was born December 14, 1934 in Mt. Vernon, Georgia to the late Lawrence and Mary Lou Thompson.  She was a graduate of the Montgomery County High School, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Georgia.  She served eight years as the Montgomery County Tax Commissioner, and was a farmer.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wyatt Bibb; and three brothers and their spouses, L.N. “Tommy” Thompson and wife Betty, R.T. “Bob” Thompson and wife Betty, and W.N. Thompson and wife Barbara.

Mrs. Bibb is survived by two daughters, Bitsy Bedingfield and husband Bruce Griffin, and Louann Pollitzer; and two grandsons, William Andrew Bedingfield and wife Carly, Steven Rybeck.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 18th at 10:00 a.m. in the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation in Vidalia with Reverend Denise Vaughn officiating.
