Mr. Eddie Brown, age 53, of the New Branch Community, died Sunday, January 8, 2017 at his home.  He was a native of Vidalia, and was a 1981 graduate of Vidalia High School.  He served in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard.  He lived in Union City, California for twenty-seven years, and worked with Sysco Food Services for fifteen years.  He returned to Toombs County in 2012, and was a member of the North Thompson Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Laywann Bazemore Brown; and paternal grandparents, Clyde and Vonnie Brown.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Tammy Brown of New Branch; seven children, Kimberly Brown, Dominique Brown, Jami Brown, Trevor Brown, Melissa Bailey, Norman Bailey, and Keven Bailey, all of California; his father, Kenneth Brown and wife Terri of Soperton; one sister, Sonya McCoy and husband Tim of Vidalia; one brother, Tony Brown of Waynesboro, and five grandchildren, Jacob, Lily, Braylon, Mason, and Gunner; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 13th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Phillips officiating.  Burial will follow later in the North Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
