Soperton,

Mr. Douglas Cecil Mosley, age 68, of Soperton, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at his home after an extended illness.  He was a native of Cedar Crossing and lived most of his life in Lyons, before moving to Treutlen County ten years ago.  He was a devoted Oxford employee for thirty-two years and was a United States Army veteran.  He was a member of the Zaidee Advent Christian Church near Soperton, and an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Nellie Mae Garrett Mosley.

Mr. Mosley is survived by his wife, Clara M. Mosley of Soperton; one son, Dennis C. Mosley and wife Angela of Guyton; five siblings, Durward Mosley and wife Ruby Nell, Steve Mosley and wife Sarah all of Vidalia, Sharon McArthur of Watkinsville, Celetta Aultman and husband David of Vidalia, and Lynn Mathis and husband Tim of Dublin; two grandchildren, Jason M. Mosley, and Tiffany L. Edmunds and husband Chris; and one great-granddaughter, Aubrie Laine Edmunds, all of Guyton.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend James L. Salter and Reverend Brian Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery near Soperton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
