Mrs. Dorothy Lynn, 91, of Brunswick, died Monday, April 20, 2015, in the South Georgia Health Systems Senior Care in Brunswick, after a brief illness.  She was a native of Whortonsville, North Carolina, and lived in Brunswick most of her life.  She worked in the family business for twenty years with her parents at R.L. Whorton Crab Factory.  She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Vidalia, but after moving back to Brunswick, attended the Lakeside United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents Romie L. Whorton and Mary Chewning Whorton, husband Willert Howard Lynn, Sr.; two sons, Samuel Clyde Lynn, and Richard Allen Lynn, Sr.; grandson David Lynn; two brothers, Elwood Whorton and Madison Whorton; and a sister Edyth Calloway. 

Mrs. Lynn is survived by one son Willert Howard "Dub" Lynn Jr. and wife Patti of Brunswick; daughter-in-law Mary Ann Lynn of Oakwood, Georgia; one sister, Ann Bryan Hughes of Griffin; sister-in-law Ann G. Whorton of Sparta;  nine grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 25th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with her great-grandson, Christopher Lynn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 1:00 just prior to the funeral.
