Vidalia,

Mrs. Doris Fant, age 80, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, and graduate of Lyons High School.  She was a homemaker, and a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church in Vidalia.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George Fant; two children, Glenn Fant and Debbie Fant Wright; parents, Lee and Lula Tomlin Clifton; two brothers, T.R. Clifton and Leander Clifton; and sister, Mariah Clifton Cooper.

Mrs. Fant is survived by two sons, Robby Fant and wife Donna of Vidalia, and Barry Fant and wife Leah of Kathleen; one sister, Louie Clifton Osborne of Lyons; one sister-in-law, Mary Clifton of Ailey; three grandchildren, Christie Barker of Johns Creek, Stephen Fant and wife Katey of Byron, and Carly Bell and husband Jesse; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, including a niece, Frances Williamson of Tarrytown.

The graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, July 31st at 9:00 a.m. in the Pinecrest Cemetery with Pastor Rick Wilson officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
