Mrs. Debbie Baker, age 59, of Vidalia, died Thursday, May 14, 2015 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.  She was a native of Toombs County and lived most of her life there.  She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, J.H. and Avis NeeSmith.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her son, B.J. Dukes and fiancée Sara Smith of Lyons; three brothers, Trenton NeeSmith and wife Ruby of Reidsville, Norman NeeSmith of Lyons, and Wendell “Gator” NeeSmith and wife Kay of Gray’s Landing; four grandchildren, Louie Shane Dukes, Ian Xavier Dukes, Ivey Ward, and Ryleigh Addison Dukes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, May 17th at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend C.B. Scott officiating.  Burial will follow in the Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
