Dahlia Sikes Obituary

Vidalia,

Mrs. Dahlia Rachel Sikes, age 82, of Vidalia, beloved mother who celebrated her homecoming with our Lord on March 25, 2018, after an extended illness. She was a native of Metter and lived there most of her life before moving to Vidalia in 2013. She was a home maker and a member at Church of God International in Tyler, Texas. She loved quilting, reading her Bible, working in her flower garden, and visits with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.V. Sikes; and two sons, Clifford Sikes and Loren Sikes.

Mrs. Sikes is survived by five sons, Jack Sikes of Metter, Jerry Sikes and wife Cassie of Waycross, C.W. Sikes and wife Shelly, Van Sikes and wife Dawn all of Statesboro, and Daniel Sikes and wife Aletha of Florida; five daughters, Jane Sikes of Atlanta, Thelma Irizarry and husband Israel of Cape Coral, Florida, Betty Sheffield of Valdosta, Rachel Sikes and husband Jay of Vidalia, and Carolyn Howell and husband Robert of Lake Park; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 29th at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend John Daughtry officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
