Mr. Chris Wiggins, age 49 of Lyons, died Monday, June 9, 2014 in the Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia from injuries received in an armed robbery at his business in Santa Claus on Sunday evening. Chris was a Lifelong resident on Toombs County, was a 1982 graduate of Lyons Senior High, and a 1986 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He was the owner and operator of several convenient stores in Toombs County, and currently was the owner and manager of Santa Claus Mini Mart. He was the coach for the boys first Senior League at Lyons Recreation Department which they finished second in the state. He was an avid supporter of Georgia Southern Football, an advocate and supporter of numerous children’s causes, and was Baptist by faith.

Mr. Wiggins is survived by Melanie Powell and Cage; parents, Dale Wiggins and Ronnie and Joyce Wiggins; sister, Tammy Wiggins McFadden; brother, Kyle Wiggins and wife Melissa ; three nephews, Tom, Jordan, and Ryan; two nieces, Courtney and Kylie, and several aunts and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Friday, June 13th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Raymond Burrell, Dr. Mark Wiggins, and Reverend Trent Akins officiating. Burial will follow in the Lyons City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00.
