Mrs. Deloris Christine "Chris" Keen, age 57, of Richmond Hill, died Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after a brief illness.  She was a native of Toombs County and moved to Richmond Hill several years ago.  She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Rosella Byrd; one brother Walter Frank Byrd, Jr.; an infant sister; mother-in-law Lucille Keen; and a nephew Michael Keairns.  Chris was a homemaker and loved gardening, baking, and most of all her family.

Mrs. Keen is survived by her husband, Dennis "Kelly" Keen of Richmond Hill; two daughters, Melanie Hosmer of Hazlehurst and Jessica Barwick and husband Michael of Vidalia; five grandchildren, Logan Best of Hazlehurst, Addyson Hosmer of Hazlehurst, Mason Barwick of Vidalia, Kadyn Barwick of Vidalia, and Stella Barwick of Vidalia; one sister Rosa Allen and husband Glenn of Alston; one brother Jerry Byrd of Milledgeville; three nephews, Jamie Allen and wife Jessica of Alston, Tony Byrd and wife Mary of Milledgeville, and Jason Byrd and wife Melisa of Milledgeville; two nieces, Maranda Wise of Collins, and Sherrie Keen of Byron; brother-in-law Roy Keen and wife Stephanie of Richmond Hill; and her Aunt Dell Johnson and husband Fred of Savannah.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 14th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
