Appling County,

Mrs. Lucrecia “Chris” Kersey Gray, age 40, of Appling County, died Friday, November 10, 2017, in the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, after a sudden illness.  She was a native of the Kibbee Community in Montgomery County, lived in McRae/Helena for several years, in Vidalia most of her life, and more recently moved to Appling County.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robbie Gray; father, Bernice Kersey; step-father, Paul McGahee; and a brother, Richard Kersey.

Chris is survived by two sons, Tyler Kersey of Baxley, and Mitchell Barwick of Vidalia; her mother, Wanda McGahee of Kibbee; four sisters, Wendy Coleman and husband Chad of Mt. Vernon; Christy Brown of Kibbee, Teresa Moore of Cochran, and Angela Geen of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
