Mt. Vernon,

Mr. Charlie Hill, age 51, of Mt. Vernon died Friday, September 29, 2017 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, after a brief illness. He was a native of West Virginia and lived in Florida before moving to Mt. Vernon in 1996. He loved NASCAR, wrestling, eating, and being around his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Hill Sr. and Ruth Collins and two brothers, David, Jr. and Junior “Jr.”.

Mr. Hill is survived by four sisters, Carolyn Trani and husband Mario of Claxton, Rochelle “Renee” Weeks of Mt. Vernon, Eugenia “Jeannie” Breedlove and husband Todd of Vidalia, and Jacqueline “Jackie” West and husband Timothy of Mt. Vernon; numerous nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 4th at 3:00 p.m. at Snow Hill Community Church in Glenwood with Reverend W.R. Connell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
