Vidalia,

Mrs. Carolyn Jackson, age 71, of Vidalia, died Monday, July 10, 2017, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness.   She was a lifelong resident of Vidalia, and was a 1963 graduate of Vidalia High School.  She worked with Brice Banking Company for ten years, was co-owner of the Pick-Quick for five years, and has worked with Vidalia Federal Savings and Loan since 1982.  She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Brantley and Estelle Hammock Brantley.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Walter Jackson; one daughter, Vicki Jackson Caraway and husband Greg, all of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Colby Hall and wife Brooke of the Blue Ridge Community, Madison Beasley and husband Matthew of Cedar Crossing, Lexi Malone, and Lani Malone, both of Vidalia; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter Hall, Keeley Hall, and Jackson Beasley.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 12th at 11:00 a.m. in Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Reverend Greg Riner officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
