Mr. Carl William Ray, age 65, of Orlando, Florida, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in the Florida Hospital Orlando after a sudden illness. He was a native of East Lansing, Michigan and has lived in Orlando since 1968. He was a veteran of the United States Army, worked as an electrician and spent the last eight years working at the Southland Home Depot. He loved to write poetry, would light up any room he entered, brought joy to all that knew him, and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Loryce Ray.

Mr. Ray is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Fay Ray of Orlando, Florida; one daughter, Jenna Waldo and husband Donny of Overlook, Kansas; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four brothers, and one sister.

The funeral will be held Friday, April 24th at 11:00 am in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery in Vidalia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
