Mr. Byron Clark Brown, age 80, of Vidalia, died Monday, August 17, 2015 in the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, after an extended illness. He was a native of Winterset, Iowa, and lived in Oregon and California for many years. He lived in Denver, Colorado for ten years before moving to Vidalia in 1992. He retired from Lloyd’s Pest Control in Orange County, California, and again retired from the Denver Housing Authority. He served four years in the U.S. Navy, and was a Korean War Veteran. He was Baptist by faith, and was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and wood carving. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Pope Brown; and four siblings, Donald Brown, Leona Brown, Mae Stanton, and Robert Brown.
Mr. Brown is survived by one daughter, Victoria Ann Kucera of Vidalia; one brother, Francis Dale Brown and wife Emily of Kennewick, Washington; two sisters-in-law, Mary Schryver, and Sandra O’Neal and husband Randolph all of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Arthur Buescher, Courtney Kucera, Jonathan Kucera, and Jacquelyn McNeel; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 20th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home.
