Lyons,

Mr. Bryant M. Lanier, age 77, of Lyons, died Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. He was a native of Tattnall County and lived there until moving to Lyons in the early 1960’s. He retired as a truck driver from Piggly Wiggly Southern after thirty-three years and was a member of Lyons Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Brown Lanier; parents, Troy and Wilma Higgs Lanier; and brothers, Wayne Lanier and J.W. Lanier.

Mr. Lanier is survived by his wife, Joyce Peebles Lanier of Lyons; two children Johnny Lanier of Lyons and Belinda Lanier Lacklin and husband Jim of Cedar Crossing Community; grandson, Chris Lanier of Lyons; one brother, Larry Lanier and wife Joyce of Nashville, Tennessee; one sister, Carolyn Lanier Bragg of Reidsville; and three great-grandchildren, Trinity, Dash, and Cadence Lanier.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, June 17th at 5:00 p.m. at Lyons Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Wilson and Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.
