Toombs Central Community,

Mr. Bobby Swain, age 75, of Toombs Central, died Monday, April 20, 2015 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  He was lifelong resident of Toombs County, and lived in Toombs Central most of his life.  He was a self-employed residential painter, and attended the Cobb Creek Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jerri Lynn Presgraves; parents, Pete Wilkes and Miggie Swain Wilkes; four brothers, Billy Swain, Benny Wilkes, Barney Wilkes, and Benjamin Wilkes; and three sisters, Mildred Lynn, Betty Keeling, and Carolyn Clanton,

Bobby is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Carolyn Tuten Swain; one son, Tony Lee Swain and wife Teresa; one daughter, Shenna Presgraves; two grandchildren, Robert Lee Presgraves and Angel Presgraves all of Toombs Central; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 22nd at 4:00 p.m. in the Cobb Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Vansant and Reverend Jarrell Lillard officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
