Mr. Bill Wimberly III, age 57, of Vidalia, died Thursday, January 22, 2015 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.  He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County.  He retired as a paramedic after twenty years of service with Meadows Regional Medical Center and formerly was a volunteer fireman.  He taught Basic EMT and First Responder Classes at Southeastern Technical College in Vidalia for fifteen years.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia, and taught the Ties That Bind Sunday School Class for many years.  He was a member of Inman Creek Masonic Lodge #491 in Johnson Corner.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William Heath Wimberly, Jr. and Margaret Lucille Anderson Wimberly.

Bill is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Mollie Brown Wimberly; one daughter, Heather Wimberly Betsill and husband Gabe; three grandchildren, Gabby, Bella, and Ian Betsill, all of Vidalia; one sister, Lori Dawkins and husband Mark of Toombs County; three brothers, Robert Rosier and wife Carol of the McNatt Falls Community, Roger Wimberly and wife Pam of Vidalia, and Buddy Wimberly and wife Tonya of the Johnson Corner Community; Mollie's parents, Delmos and Edna Brown of Brown of Vidalia; numerous nieces and nephews, and lifelong friend, Fred Wilson.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 24th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Don Moye officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
