Lyons,

Mrs. Ann Campbell Puryear, age 71, of Lyons, died Monday, March 2, 2015 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Toombs County, and lived in Lyons most of her life.  She worked at Oxford Manufacturing for thirty years, and Wal-Mart for ten years.  She was a member of the Ruth’s Chapel United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Puryear; a daughter, Shirley Ann Foskey; and parents, John Lewis Campbell and Lula Yancey Campbell.

Ann is survived by three children, Vicki J. Hallifax and husband Ben of Lockport, New York, Mitchell Foskey and Nancy L. Reeves of Lyons; former son-in-law, Charles R. Collins of Reidsville; one brother, Clifford Campbell and wife Linda of Milledgeville; five grandchildren, Carmen Collins McLeod and husband Keith, Zeke Collins and wife Genie, all of Reidsville, Cassie DeMarco of Athens, Josey Lee Foskey and Maci Ann Foskey, both of Tennessee; and six great-grandchildren, Josh, Karson, Bryson, Carly, Gabrielle, and Elizabeth.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 5th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Brian Durden officiating.  Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Friday in the Georgia Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
