Higgston,

Anita Morris, age 65, of Higgston, died Thursday, September 24, 2015 in the Community Hospice in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Montgomery County, and lived in Higgston all of her life.  She worked at Smith Street Baptist Church Daycare for many years, Piggly Wiggly in Vidalia for eight years, and was the deli manager at Bi-Lo in Vidalia for thirteen years.  She was a member of the Higgston Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her father, Julian Edgar Morris.

Anita is survived by one daughter, Angelia Wickstrom Sanders and husband Scott of the New Branch Community; her mother, Grace McDonald Morris of Higgston; three brothers, James Morris and wife Marian of Brooklet, Danie Morris and wife Beth, and Larry Morris and wife Lane, all of Higgston; four nieces and three great-nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 27th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Clarence Best and Reverend Mark Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
