Vidalia,

Mr. Allen Dykes, age 51, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in Albany.  He was a native of Toombs County, a 1983 graduate of Vidalia High School, and a 1987 graduate of the University of Georgia, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.  Soon after graduation, he worked with Kimberly Clark in Mississippi, and worked most of his life with Price Waterhouse as a financial consultant.  He recently moved to Albany.  He was a former member of the Smith Street Baptist Church in Vidalia, and was a member of the Methodist church in Valdosta.

Mr. Dykes is survived by three children, Emily Dykes, Adam Dykes, and John Dykes, all of Perrysburg, Ohio; his parents, George and Lucille Dykes of Vidalia; one sister, Vickie Dykes Randazza and husband Mark of Duluth; and two aunts, one uncle, one niece, and one nephew.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 29th at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Randy McDuffie and Reverend Gene Helton officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 until just prior to the service.
